For me, this makes scents!

I am so super duper thrilled and excited to tell you guys that I am now a Scentsy consultant.

I have been thinking about this for a couple of months now, and yesterday, my sister-in-law convinced me to do it with her. Yay!

If you are unfamiliar with Scentsy products, they are fragrances and accessories that smell absolutely AMAZING! Seriously, I've been using Scentsy already for a couple of years and I love it, so for me, this was a fun step to take.

This is not going to turn into a business blog and I'm not going to talk about Scentsy all the time.

But, today, I would like to say that I would be happy to help you with any of your Scentsy needs. Or, if you would just like a little more information, simply shoot me an email.

You can also visit my personal Scentsy website by clicking on the buttons in this post. You can order directly from the site, or you can contact me and I would be happy to take care of everything for you.

Like I said, I'm not going to bombard you with tons of Scentsy posts. But, every now and then, if something new and exciting is happening, I might quickly share it with you all.

I love these products and I thought I would share my excitement and good news today!

My First Cara Box

This month I participated in the Cara Box exchange for the very first time, and let me tell you, I think I had the best parnter EVER! Seriously, she was amazing.

I received my box from Jackie at Health, Love, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

For a couple of weeks, we emailed and tweeted back and forth while I tried to answer all of her question while she put together my box.

Cara Box

So, I was thrilled to receive my box earlier this week. I got home from work and there was a box waiting on my front door step. After I got that opened, this is what I found.

This month's topic was resolutions, and like nearly everyone else, some of my goals for the year are to exercise more and eat healthier.

So, Jackie hooked me up with a water bottle to stay hydrated and a little snack box with a little ice pack in it that can be used to take some healthy snacks to work. I'm super excited about both of these!

She also hooked me up with some healthy snacks and a little bit of chocolate, because honestly, everyone can always appreciate a little bit of chocolate!

Also, she gave me this great note pad / to do list. With this I can keep track of everything I need to do.

I had such an amazing experience with this Cara Box. Jackie was great! And I think I'll probably keep participating in this swap. I love the idea of being paired with two people and making great new bloggy buddies!

So, thanks Jackie for this amazing box!

Say Hello to Sarah!

So, lately I've been bragging about some really great sponsors and today I have another one to share with you.

Say hello to Sarah from Beyond the Gradebook! She has been hanging out in my sidebar for a little while. Since I met her, I have really enjoyed reading her blog. She has made some great posts in the last month and I feel like I've really gotten to know a little about her.

Hey there!  I'm Sarah from Beyond the Gradebook!  I'm in my early twenties - just living and loving life!  I'm a former wedding photographer, first year fifth-grade teacher, and avid chef and designer.  In my spare time (when I'm not doing any of the aforementioned hobbies), I love to read!  You should see my bookshelf.  It's full of books that I've yet to read.  I'll never be without a good book!  More importantly, I love to travel!  I've been all over the world.  Around 25 states (Alaska included) and I've set foot in London, Paris (twice), Rome, and Greece.  I love to see the world!  I'm definitely living life to the fullest!  I started blogging to share ideas from my classroom with other teachers, but found that I loved blogging for more of a personal reason.  I started Beyond the Gradebook to simply serve as my online journal and take note of what took place in my life outside the classroom, or "beyond the gradebook."  But I soon found that the blogging community was full of wonderful people, with amazing hearts, and talented gifts.  I have so enjoyed these past few months getting to "know" other bloggers and reading more about their life experiences!

Thanks so much for the great post Sarah!

Everyone make sure you stop by and say hello!

Firmoo Review and a Cute Dog

If you have been around the blogging world lately you have probably seen a lot of Firmoo reviews. It seems like they are everywhere. So, I was super exited when they contacted me and asked me to do a review as well. FOR FREE!!! So yes, I was thrilled to be offered this opportunity.

After a few emails were sent back and forth, I was instructed to go to their website and place my order. The instructions I was given were clear and easy to follow and the website itself was fairly easy to navigate.

So, the other day my order arrived and this is what I received.

All together I received my glasses, a cleaning cloth, and two cases; a hard case and a soft one.

So, of course, after I open them and looked at everything I had to try them on. And of course...I had to take some picture.

So, here you go. Enjoy these rare photos of me.

Then I noticed there was a weird reflection in my eyes. So, I had to take another one.

Then Leo started getting jealous and had to jump in the picture.

Overall, I had a great experience and I would definitely recommend their services to anyone who wears glasses, whether prescription or not. The glasses I received are great and I am completely satisfied.

I also learned that another great option provided by Firmoo is their "First New Pair for Free For New Customers" program. So, make sure you stop by and have a look.

*NOTE: Although I was compensated for this review, the opinions expressed are entirely my own. This review is my honest opinion regarding my personal experience with Firmoo. I was not required to provide a positive review.
*Also, I've still got some sponsor spots open and I'm looking for a few good blogs to fill them up. If you are interested, click the "sponsor" tab at the top of the page.

*Last but not least, be sure to check out Logan's great giveaway!

My Harry Potter Fix is Back!

Yay! I am so super excited that the My Harry Potter Fix Link-Up is back!

1. Do you know any of the characters' middle names?

Let's see...I think its Hermione Jean, Harry James, Tom Marvolo and my favorite name of the whole series... Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore! I am so proud of myself for knowing Dumbledor's full name!

2. Would you name your child for a Harry Potter character? Have you done this?

As I don't have any children, I can't say that I've done this. However, I have thought through a lot of character names that I might could possibly get by with naming my child. I've decided that I might could get by with Luna or Oliver. I know, these are some of the more "normal" names of the series. But, I don't think I could, in good conscience, name my child Nymphadora or Severus.

3. Is there something that you still don't understand about the series  that you need answered?

I still have so so so many questions. I am still (even after all this time) completely enamored with this world! One of the many things I am still curious about is Fred and George's joke shop. I'm assuming it wasn't the same with just one of them hanging around. I guess that's not something I don't understand (forgive the double negative), it's just something I am curious about.

4. Did you have any strange rituals you did when you first got your hands on a new HP book?

No, not really. I mostly spent a lot of time admiring the artwork on the cover and smelling the new book smell.

5. Did Harry Potter ever annoy you as a character? If so, in which books and why?

I think Harry annoyed me, at least, a little bit in each book. There were always little personality quirks or things he would say that would just rub me wrong. It was usually just little things, but I don't think I ever just completely loved him as a character. But, I think this was good on Rowling's part. It was a subtle way of showing the readers and the other characters that he was still normal, still just a person, even if he was "the chosen one."

6. Character you would most like to duel? What's the first spell you would use against them?

I think I'd like to duel Neville. Even if I was new to dueling, I'd like to think I could at least beat him. Even if the only spell I could use was Expelliarmus.

7. Three Broomstick or the Hogshead Pub?

Three Broomsticks for sure! That's where all the cool people hang out...and, who can pass up a chance at some great Butter Beer?

So, there you go! If you love Harry Potter as much as I do...head on over and link up!

Love My Baby Lips

First of all, I'm not a huge make-up kind of girl. I wear just a basic face everyday. Normally, I use Mary Kay products. I've always used their skin products, so that just kind of evolved into using their make-up as well. My mom has always used Mary Kay, so I guess I just kind of followed her example.

Now, I really do love my Mary Kay makeup. I love the foundation, and the color options for lip and eye are great. But, every now and then, I get a little itch to just try something new.

I got this particular itch a couple of weeks ago after seeing commercials for Maybelline's Baby Lips lip balm. I guess I am a exactly what the advertisers are going after. I saw the ad so many times that I eventually had to go buy the product.

Guys, let me tell you, this stuff is amazing. I loved the first one I purchased so much that I even went back and bought a second one to keep in my purse.

The first one I bought was the pink tube; Pink Punch. The second one that I bought was in the orange tube; Cherry Me.

I don't like a lot of color on my lips. I usually just want them to look fresh. This balm does just that. It gives my lips just enough color without looking overdone. Plus, each of these has their own amazing scent. The pink one smells like pink lemonade and the orange one smells like Cherry. Yummy!

So, yeah, I just wanted to take a little time to give a shout out to this amazing lip balm.

This post is entirely my own. I was not compensated in any way for this post, I just really loved these lip balms.

So, go out and try them yourself. If you love them as much as I do, let me know.

Calling All Homeowners

Ever since the husband and I got married, we have lived in rental homes. We have never committed to purchasing a home because we have never been sure what the future would hold for us in regard to my job status or his education. But, over the last few months things have finally started settling down for us and we are in a very comfortable place now. I love my job, husband graduated in December, and he has a great job that he is happy with. He is planning on moving on to graduate school next fall, but the degree he is planning to pursue is available online. So, it seems like a good time to start thinking about these things.

A couple of months ago, we began meeting with a realtor and have looked at several homes. Eventually we found one that we love and are super excited about, and this is it...

So, while we are super excited about this next great milestone in our lives, we are also kind of nervous. We don't really know what to expect in this process. So, that's where you guys come in...

Do you own your own home? What was it like to make that purchase? Do you have any tips or suggestions to help make this process as little easier and a little less scary?

Any comments and help would be greatly appreciated!

Yay for the husband and me being real grown-ups and doing scary grown-up things!
